NOTTING Hill Gate tube station was evacuated and shut due to a fire alert which caused travel chaos for commuters travelling to work.
The zone 1 and 2 station, which is on the District, Circle and Central line, was closed
Passengers reported being told to leave the station around 7.45am.
Transport for London (TfL) said earlier the station was closed “while we respond to a fire alert.”
TfL previously said they were unsure when the station would reopen.
