There is very little information about Liverpool’s interest in Roma’s Mohamed Salah coming from journalists in England as the powers-that-be at the club are apparently refusing to comment on the reported transfer.
However, there is a lot of noise coming out in the Italian press as Roma look to secure a deal to sell the Egyptian star.
The latest news coming from Italy is that Salah is keen to make the switch to England and that the Serie A club are happy to sell up as they want to free up soon room on their wage bill to give an increased salary to Radja Nainggolan.
Liverpool have apparently held talks with Salah’s agent and it looks like the two parties have come to an agreement over salary and personal terms, so all that’s left to sort is the transfer fee.
Liverpool have had a bid of £28m rejected by Roma, who are apparently asking for £45m.
However, most outlets in Italy seem to think that the Serie A side would be happy to accept a bid of around £40m, so it remains to be seen if the Reds will pay up.
