Tereza May is the winner of the elections one week ago, but she run just up to the… «photo finish». Now after many decades of political stability, the country has a «fragile» leadership, and there is great uncertainty whether or not the Brexit negotiations will end according to the first plan. Many voices increasingly call May to step down, or they put pressure on her to announce a referendum. At the same time, there are rumors that in the months to come, she will step down, and leave the road to leadership open for her opponent Boris Johnson.
The Prime Minister seems to be confident, that the current political coalition will succeed and meet its targets in the near future. Despite the different scenarios concerning her political fate, she promised that in a few days the talks with the EU for a good deal on Brexit will resume with positive results. However, according to Daily Telegraph, Eurosceptic MPs from the Tories, they seem to believe that if May doesn’t succeed to convince her voters who trusted her a year ago, she might come face to face with a «secret internal political plan» to «overthrown» her. It might sound as an immature «conspiracy theory», but the majority of the Eurosceptics and «anti-europeans» won’t accept any kind of «come back» from her original Brexit target. Already, the election result showed that the credibility and popularity of the Tories has been traumatized and the voters are more concern of May’s ability to take Britain out of Europe without big loses. Her task is becoming more and more difficult, and it will define for the months to come the political landscape in the UK.
