From Jason Dovovan to Robbie Williams, Nick Cave to her sister Dannii, Kylie Minogue has recorded a fair number of (brilliant, we must say) duets over the course of her career, but it seems Kylie is not done with duets just yet.
In fact, she’s even eyeing up performing with Lady Gaga next – which absolutely has to happen, if we do say so ourselves.
Kylie made the revelation during a chat with Graham Norton for his Radio 2 show today (February 24) after a fan asked whether the singer had any duets or collaborations she wishes she could have done.
“Wow, there’s plenty,” she replied. “I think all of the duets I’ve done over the years have just kind of come to me, so I’m just in this habit of not actively reaching out to people.
“But I don’t do many duets with ladies, so I would love to sing with Gaga or something like that, it would be incredible.”
Kylie also opened up about how collaborations can come about – because we can’t all have songs lined up and ready to go like Ed Sheeran for Eminem – and added that she thinks it’ll have to be a great track to live up to some of her existing duets.
“I think it can happen just really casually sometimes, just if you have mutual friends, or you’ve just got a project that feels like that person will be right for,” she explained.
“I think it will be hard to beat Nick Cave ‘Where the Wild Roses Grow’, and people still love ‘Kids’ with Robbie as well, and then 100 Degrees’ with my sister Dannii, so there’s a lot.”
Kylie was chatting in support of her new album Golden, which is out in April, ahead of her upcoming tour dates in the UK later this year too.
The singer will also serve as the first musical guest on the return of Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway tonight, where she’ll be performing new single ‘Dancing’ live on TV for the first time.
Golden will be out on April 6, while Graham Norton’s Radio 2 show continues next Saturday (March 3) at 10am.
