Meghan Markle could inherit something extra special from Princess Diana when she marries Prince Harry.
The American actress is already the proud owner of two diamonds from the princess’s collection – Harry used the prcious stones to flank a new Botswana diamond in her engagement ring.
And now it’s been revealed that Meghan is likely to inherit more jewels from Diana.
Meghan is likely to wear Princess Diana’s tiara on their royal wedding day.
When Diana got married in July 1981, she wore the diamond tiara that belonged to the noble Spencer house.
Afterwards, she handed it back to her brother Charles, the current Earl Spencer.
But Harry would be well within his rights to ask his uncle for the tiara for his fiancée for the big day at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle on May 19.
But this isn’t Meghan’s only option.
When Kate Middleton wed Prince William, she was loaned a minor royal tiara by the Queen.
Kate chose the 1936 Cartier halo headpiece which was given to the Queen by the Queen Mother for her 18th birthday.
If the Queen lets Meghan have her own choice, the starlet is likely to pick something modern to go with her gown.
If she doesn’t want to reuse a tiara, then diamonds belonging to Diana could be used to make a new headpiece.
Diana’s personal jewellery collection now belongs to her sons.
