Greco, another restaurant addition to the trendy South Boston Seaport area that was transformed into a high-end mix of uses will have a distinctly Greek fare, but with other offerings.
Gyros and loukoumas and pita are among the bill of fare for the place that will be at the Pier 4 office building and is an addition to the original location in the Back Bay district, with another being planned for the downtown business district.
Eater Boston, in a review, noted that, “Where Back Bay’s restaurant has made a name for itself with a concise menu of gyros, salads, sides, dips, and sweet loukoumas, Seaport’s builds on that success, adding extra coffee options and a bit of booze to the mix. The new restaurant will serve beer and wine; Greco has secured an exclusive private label beer, which will be available on draft only, and the wine will be sourced from a mom-and-pop producer from the island of Crete where physically stomping grapes remains a critical part of the operation, rather than using machinery.”
The layout is long, narrow, full of light and a view of the whole kitchen.
