The 20th World Conference of Overseas Cypriots by the World Federation of Overseas Cypriots (POMAK), the International Coordinating Committee “Justice for Cyprus” (PSEKA) and the Youth of the World Federation of Overseas Cypriots (NEPOMAK) will begin on Tuesday, with Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades declaring the opening of the conference, which will conclude on Friday.
A press release issued by the Press and Information Office (PIO) said that the President will address the opening ceremony at 1900 local time (1600 GMT).
The Presidential Commissioner, Photis Photiou, the President of the House of Representatives, Demetris Syllouris, the Archbishop of Cyprus, Chrysostomos B’ and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece – Minister for Diaspora Greeks, Antonis Diamataris, will address the ceremony. The Head of POMAK, Andreas Papaevripides, the Head of PSEKA, Philip Christopher and the President of NEPOMAK, Christos Tuton, will also address the ceremony.
The event will be broadcast via Cytanet live streaming, on the website of the Presidential Commissioner at www.commissionertothepresidency.gov.cy and by RIK TV channel. The Conference is conducted with the cooperation of the Press and Information Office, the Cyprus Police and the Government Printing Office.
