New Jersey Virtual OXI Day Commemoration on Oct. 24

NEW JERSEY – This year’s Virtual OXI Day Commemoration and Symposium on Universal Suffrage to mark the centennial of women’s right to vote takes place on Saturday, October 24, beginning at 10 AM Eastern Time, via Zoom, and honors the struggle for freedom and inclusion through the ages.

New Jersey Secretary of State Tahesha Way is among those scheduled to attend along with a panel of experts who will discuss how the struggle for democracy continues to impact our world today.

The event is supported by the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of New Jersey, the New Jersey Department of State, American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association (AHEPA), Daughters of Penelope, AHEPA Hudson Chapter #108, and the New Jersey Hellenic American Heritage Commission.
