Greek Australian developer Sam Kassis of Kassis Homes is behind a major new mixed-use development in Castle Hill featuring a 143-room Novotel hotel.

Accor has signed an agreement to operate the hotel at the Nova Rêve precinct, a $165m development at the corner of Garthowen Crescent and Old Castle Hill Road.

The development will feature three residential towers with 253 apartments, more than 1600sqm of retail space and landscaped communal areas.

In addition to the 143 rooms, the Novotel will include restaurants, cafes and bars, conference and events facilities, a fitness centre and swimming pool.

The hotel is expected to open in early 2029 and will be within walking distance of Castle Towers and Castle Hill Metro Station.

The project will combine residential, retail and hospitality offerings across the site, with the hotel designed to cater to both visitors and the growing Hills District population.

The Novotel will also feature an elevated dining venue overlooking the district, alongside conference and event facilities.

Kassis Homes is continuing to expand its development presence in Castle Hill, with the Nova Rêve project adding a major hospitality component to the suburb’s growing residential and commercial precinct.

Kassis told the Daily Telegraph the partnership with Accor would bring “a globally recognised hospitality brand to the precinct”, while expanding the offering for residents, visitors, businesses and the wider community.

He said the hotel would also provide the Hills District with a new venue for conferences, weddings and family celebrations, as well as accommodation for visitors without them having to leave Castle Hill.

Accor operates more than 5800 hotels and resorts across 110 countries.
