Waterloo Whisky “Duke – Rum Cask” has been awarded World’s Best at the World Whiskies Awards in London, in the Single Cask – Single Grain category.
This international distinction places Waterloo Whisky among the world’s elite whiskies and recognizes a unique approach at the crossroads of brewing and distillation.
Produced the Anthony Martin Group at the heart of the Ferme de Mont-Saint-Jean, an iconic Belgian heritage site located on the Waterloo battlefield, this whisky is rooted in the legacy of Waterloo Beer and four generations of brewers.
Through a rich and expressive fermentation, followed by precise distillation and aging in carefully selected rum casks, “Duke – Rum Cask” develops a complex and distinctive aromatic profile.
Released as a small batch of only 227 bottles, the award-winning whisky embodies absolute rarity, sought after by enthusiasts and collectors alike.
Edward Martin, from the Group, told this site, “This award honors our roots, our craftsmanship, and our vision: transforming a brewing tradition into a whisky with true character.”
With this global recognition, Waterloo Distillery, he said, has reaffirmed its ambition: “to showcase an exceptional Belgian whisky on the international stage.”
