With great honor and respect, representatives from the Solon and Falirou Chapters attended the impressive ceremony for the investiture of the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff (HNDGS), General Dimitrios Houpis, as an Doctor Honoris Causa of the Department of Business Administration and Organizations within the School of Economics and Political Sciences of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA).

The ceremony took place on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at 7:00 PM in the Great Hall of the NKUA.

General Dimitrios Houpis performs an exceptionally important role in the Hellenic Armed Forces, serving the nation with dedication, strategic foresight, and a high sense of responsibility.

This impressive ceremony and his investiture as an Honorary Doctor is a well-deserved recognition for Officers of the caliber, value, and contribution of the Chief to national security and defense.

Following an honorary invitation, a full delegation from the Solon HJ-04 and Falireas HJ-38 Chapters was present.

The healthy and good relationship and cooperation between the Chapters acts as a force multiplier, demonstrated practically by their joint presence at the ceremony. Together, the heads of the two Chapters extended warm congratulations to the Chief, emphasizing the value of “contribution.”

Furthermore, emphasis was placed on the flow of contributions to the Hellenic Navy (HN) and the Hellenic Air Force (HAF) that have been executed by Chapter HJ-04 to date, and which are expected to be significantly strengthened with the help and assistance of Mr. Argyris Tsounakis and the Southern Suburbs Chapters, with whom an exceptionally good and dynamic collaboration is currently being developed.
