Cyprus’ Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth will provide grants to help students purchase tablets and laptops, in a program that has been inducted into the Recovery and Resilience Plan. The initiative falls under a wider push for the digital transformation of schools and for enhancing pupils’ digital and STEM skills.
The program aims to equip students with digital tools to strengthen their learning and participation in modern educational processes. By providing easier access to tablets and laptops, the ministry hopes to enhance students’ digital skills, improve access to knowledge and promote the effective use of technology in everyday life.
Under the program, the ministry will offer a €100 grant for tablets to students in the third grade of public primary schools and a €300 grant for laptops to students in the second grade of public secondary schools. Grants will be available to families receiving the Child Allowance.
