The Kasta Tomb in Amphipolis, northern Greece, is expected to open to the public at the end of 2027 or early 2028 at the latest in, Culture Minister Lina Mendoni said Wednesday.
Mendoni visited the site to inspect the work being carried out at the monument.
“The contractor and the directorate have undertaken the restoration of the enclosure and the planning of routes,” Mendoni said, adding that the construction of a museum, which will house the exhibits has been included and is being financed by the Region of Central Macedonia, using EU funds.
She said digital applications will also be provided.
