Algeria acknowledges its interest in joining the BRICS group
Algeria’s President Abdelmayid Tebune said Sunday that Algeria “largely” meets the conditions for joining the BRICS — made up of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa — and acknowledged that the country has an interest in the group because of its economic and political influence.
