Eurostat: New asylum applications in Cyprus drop by 33% in August

The number of first-time asylum applicants in August 2023 dropped by 33% in Cyprus, and increased by 19% in the EU, according to monthly asylum data published by Eurostat, the statistical service of the European Union.
