The strategic relationship between Greece and the US is being made even stronger, a development that works in favor of the Greek nation, noted Development Minister Takis Theodorikakos in an interview with Greek-American newspaper The National Herald during his visit to the US.
“The cooperation between the two countries spans a wide range of areas, such as increasing American investments, the shipbuilding industry, trade, research, innovation, and, of course, the ways in which Greece can become a transit hub for goods to an even greater extent,” the minister said, describing the agenda of his upcoming meetings.
“In this context, there is a busy program of meetings with American ministers and government officials to strengthen our cooperation in industrial investments – especially in shipbuilding – in innovation and trade, as well as to support the presence of the US government’s development bank in the Elefsina shipyards and the prospects for upgrading the wider area into a comprehensive commercial and transit hub,” he added.
