And so it all began… Back in 2008, as a simple cyber journalist, with nothing but the courage to speak the truth – to give voice to what I feel and what I believe is right. I never imagined that truth could create enemies, and yet, it did.
In those years, I wrote about private security. I saw the shadows, but I chose to keep only the light – the good collaborations, the people who left an indelible mark on my soul. I had the honor to work with Security Manager – Smart Press and the SECUR EXPO, and to be entrusted by President Odysseas, who appointed me Press Representative at the Panhellenic Association of Security of Persons, Infrastructure and Cash Transfers. These are moments forever engraved in my heart.
Seventeen years as a cyber journalist… and yet, it feels like only a fleeting moment.
During the 12 years of the Hellenic Media Group, we fought battles to keep the network free from political conflicts and divisions. We stood tall, even when money made some forget what had once been given to them.
In a time when money became a god.
In a time of harshness.
In a world where human connection is lost behind a screen.
We chose to remain human. With soul, with hope, with struggle. And we kept our vision alive: to offer a spark of light, a breath of hope, to anyone who reads our words.
Along this journey, the Hellenic Media Group was honored with 7 awards for voluntary contribution and 4 journalism prizes. We had the privilege to collaborate with companies that organized international conferences, forums, and exhibitions, to support 7 international film festivals, and even to serve as jury members in some of them.
Some once considered our network insignificant. Yet this very network received 3 accreditations from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (Oscars) and today serves as the communication sector of Women in Film and Television Cyprus.
Our collaborators are members of international journalists’ associations, holding important positions, and they have honored us with their presence and their friendship. Another milestone we consider a success is our cooperation with the Greek-Balkan radio station SDW, an experiment near the borders of Greece, North Macedonia, and Serbia.
As a voluntary media network, we also stood beside the “cyclist of the world,” journalist Grigoris Verriotis, considering it our duty to support the journey of a man with 40 years of history in journalism.
All of this was never just about achievements; it was always about heart and love. Because when you do something from the heart, you must first feel it, live it, and share it with love.
I have always supported young people with vision in their first steps, because once, a few humble souls supported mine. Whatever I do – whatever we do – we do it with our hearts. For we believe that God always gives back whatever you offer with sincerity and love.
This is the Hellenic Media Group. A voluntary network, 12 years strong, a voice for hope, for culture, and for the human side of journalism.
12 Years Hellenic Media Group – a journey of the heart, still unfolding.
