Alternate Finance Minister Nikos Papathanasis, responsible for the Recovery and Resilience Facility, submitted two requests to the European Commission on Monday for the disbursement of funds from the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF), totaling €1.17 billion.
These included the seventh request for grants – with Greece being the third country in the EU to reach a seventh request – and the sixth request for RRF loans, covering a total of 26 milestones and targets. Greece has requested the disbursement of €883.9 million in grants for the fulfillment of 22 milestones and €293.8 million in loans via four milestones.
To date, the country has received €23.4 billion from the RRF. Over the coming period, once an evaluation of the seventh request for grants and the sixth request for loans is completed, total disbursements to Greece will rise to €24.57 billion, corresponding to 68.3% of the total funds allocated to the country.
