NUGAS Victoria has brought back its national youth convention for the first time in more than a decade, uniting young Greek Australians from across the country in Melbourne.

Running from Thursday, September 10 to Sunday, September 13, the NUGAS convention features four days of activities designed to create new connections, strengthen interstate ties and celebrate Greek Australian identity, culture and community.

The program encompasses Greek dance, sport, language, history and intercommunity relations, providing participants with opportunities to celebrate their shared heritage and consider the future of the Greek Australian diaspora.

NUGAS Victoria members will be joined by representatives from the Combined Universities Greek Association in Sydney, Hellenic Youth of Canberra, Greek Youth of South Australia and GOYA Brisbane.

The convention is one of NUGAS Victoria’s largest initiatives of the past decade and will culminate in the 2026 NUGAS Gala Ball, which is expected to attract more than 1,000 guests.
