Costas Kesides On Business Plan

In Krasnodar, one of southern Russia’s largest cities, the Greek community continues to preserve its roots, language and traditions. At the heart of this mission is the Greek National Cultural Autonomy Association “Romiosyni”, which has recently acquired its own cultural home in a historic building dating back to 1918. Greeks across Russia made its restoration possible through generous financial contributions.

According to its president, Kostas Kesides, between 3,000 and 5,000 Greeks live in the wider region, with more than 400 actively participating in the association’s activities. Its cultural events attract approximately 1,000 people, demonstrating the strength of Greek identity across generations.

Beyond preserving language, traditional dances and heritage, Romiosyni aspires to strengthen international Greek connections, encourage educational and religious exchanges with Greece, and promote cultural and commercial cooperation. Its vision is to ensure that Greek identity remains vibrant, meaningful and proudly passed on to future generations.
