Cyprus Airways to launch daily flights to London Stansted

Cyprus Airways is set to launch daily direct flights between Larnaca and London Stansted on April 23, 2027, further strengthening air links between Cyprus and the United Kingdom.

The new year-round route will offer additional travel options for holidaymakers, business travellers and those visiting friends and family, the airline announced.

London Stansted provides access to the British capital, particularly its northern and eastern areas, as well as destinations across the wider south-east of England.

Cyprus Airways Chief Executive Thanos Pascalis said the new service would strengthen connections between Cyprus and one of the airline’s most important international markets.

“The United Kingdom is a particularly important market for Cyprus, with strong demand across leisure, business and visiting friends and relatives,” he said.

According to the airline, the daily service will give passengers greater choice and flexibility while supporting its strategy of expanding direct connections from its base at Larnaca International Airport.

The announcement follows plans to introduce new year-round services to Munich and Rome Fiumicino, further expanding the airline’s European network.

Cyprus Airways currently operates scheduled flights to several destinations, including Paris, Milan Malpensa, Athens and Heraklion. Its seasonal summer network also includes Barcelona, Venice and selected Greek islands.

Beyond Europe, the airline maintains a presence in the Middle East, with year-round services to Tel Aviv, Beirut and Dubai, alongside charter operations to additional destinations.

Tickets for the new London Stansted route are available through the Cyprus Airways website, its mobile application and travel agents.

The airline is operated by Charlie Airlines Ltd and is headquartered at Larnaca International Airport. Its fleet includes Airbus A320 and A220 aircraft, supporting its regional and international operations.

Cyprus Airways employs more than 210 people and holds certification under the International Air Transport Association’s Operational Safety Audit programme, an internationally recognised assessment of airline operational safety management.

The introduction of daily flights to London Stansted is expected to provide passengers with another convenient option for travelling between Cyprus and the UK, while contributing to the continued development of the airline’s route network.
