Cyprus House of Representatives website is under attack by a Turkish hacker, the legislative body said in a press release on Monday.
“The Parliament`s website has been under attack by a Turkish hacker in the past hours, following similar attacks against the Defence Ministry`s website and the electronic systems of Larnaca airport,” the House of Representatives press release said.
It notes that all necessary steps have been taken to thwart the attacks and the website has so far not been affected, adding however that “understandably it is not possible right now to update the website.”
Therefore, the press release says, material such as the agendas of parliamentary committee meetings as well as the publication of last Friday`s plenary session minutes, including a report by the General Auditor and a list on the NPLs of politically exposed persons “will be posted as soon as the situation allows it.”
The Parliament`s plenary voted by majority on Friday in favour of publishing the list contained in the General Auditor`s report on its website today.
