Defense Minister Nikos Dendias is visiting Britain on Monday and Tuesday for talks with defense officials amid the US and Israeli attacks on Iran.

A Defense Ministry statement Sunday said Dendias will meet Defense Secretary John Healey and National Security Adviser Jonathan Powell.

It said the agenda will include the fighting in the Persian Gulf and “defense challenges in the eastern Mediterranean” Sea.

Greece has sent two frigates and four F-16 fighter jets to boost the air defenses of Cyprus after a suspected Iranian drone strike on a British military base on the eastern Mediterranean island and former UK colony caused minor damage.
