On Wednesday and Thursday, the Competition Commission conducted an unannounced on-site inspection of activities in the coastal shipping sector, in the sector of maritime transport services for passengers, cars and trucks, and at associations of undertakings. 

The inspections concerned possible anti-competitive horizontal agreements and/or a possible decision to associate undertakings, as well as regarding a possible invitation to a prohibited agreement and announcement of future pricing intentions between competitors, in violation of the law against cartel practices.
