CHERRY HILL, NJ – The Greek School of St. Thomas Greek Orthodox Church in Cherry Hill opened its doors after a year of online learning, starting with the established blessing, the agiasmo, on September 9, performed by presiding priest of the community Fr. Christoforos Oikonomidis who welcomed the students, parents, and teaching staff.
All the children were excited to be able to get back together and meet their classmates and friends in person.
The Greek School at St. Thomas has enrolled 100 students for the new year. The teaching staff as well as principal Panagiota Delimaris hope for a smooth and creative school year. Delimaris noted that all protective measures for the safety of students will be observed and they will all give their best to return to normalcy so that we can create a Greek Orthodox future for our children.
