Traffic at the country’s ports serving the greater Athens area is expected to intensify further on Thursday, as thousands of travelers set off for Easter holidays to popular island destinations such as the Cyclades, Dodecanese, and Crete.
According to Thursday’s ticket reservation data, at least 22,190 passengers are expected to depart from Piraeus, Greece’s largest port – up from 18,558 on Wednesday. Meanwhile, approximately 9,800 travelers will depart from Rafina, and nearly 3,000 from Lavrio.
Port authorities have implemented measures to manage the increased passenger flow, and travelers are advised to arrive at the departure piers well ahead of time to ensure a smoother boarding experience. [AMNA]
