Presidential Commissioner, Photis Photiou, visited on Wednesday Turkish occupied Rizokarpaso, where he had the chance to talk to several inhabitants of the small town and thoroughly discuss with them the problems they have been facing.
According to a press release issued by the Presidency, Photiou underlined that the government supports every effort that reinforces quality of education in Rizokarpaso schools and the efforts of the community’s inhabitants to continue to live there and live in a decent way in the occupied ancestral homes.
Cyprus has been divided since 1974, when Turkish troops invaded and occupied 37% of its territory.
