Nespresso Greece customers were notified May 21 of a potential personal data breach following a cyberattack on partnering logistics company Orphee Beinoglou International Transportation.
The Russian-speaking Clop ransomware group claimed responsibility for the February 2025 attack. Compromised data may include names, phone numbers, addresses, emails, and tax numbers for invoice customers.
Nespresso advised customers to be careful with emails or phone calls requesting personal or financial information. It also said they should avoid opening links or attachments from unknown sources and use protection software for their devices.
An Orphee Beinoglou spokesperson confirmed the breach, saying the company notified partners, ensured no financial data leaked, and strengthened security measures.
The Clop group, active since 2019, drew FBI attention in 2023 for attacking US federal agencies. Experts recorded 384 Clop breaches in 2023.
Greece’s Personal Data Protection Authority and National Cybersecurity Authority were notified. Separately, Adidas Greece customers received similar breach notifications.
