Scholarships for Expatriate Cypriots by Educational Institutions in Cyprus

The Service for Overseas and Repatriated Cypriots, in collaboration with educational institutions in Cyprus, has secured a number of scholarships for young people and adults of Cypriot descent living abroad. The scholarships cover undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, as well as Greek language learning programmes, provided either through physical attendance at the universities or through distance learning, where available.

The initiative aims to enhance access for expatriate Cypriots to higher education institutions in the Republic of Cyprus, provide meaningful opportunities for them to reconnect with the State, preserve their connection with their roots, language, and culture, and support their personal and professional development regardless of place of residence.

For more information about the Scholarships, interested parties can find out more via:

• The website of the Service for Overseas and Repatriate Cypriots:

• Guide for Cyprus Diaspora and Repatriates
Please note that:

• Interested expatriates have to obtain a certificate from the relevant federation of overseas Cypriots in their place of residence, the embassy of the country in which they live, or NEPOMAK (young people up to 30 years of age who are not members of NEPOMAK can register – see relevant link above).

• Each interested party who submits an application will authorise the university –
through a relevant form held by NEPOMAK – to inform the Service for Overseas and Repatriated Cypriots about their application, admission, and progress of studies for as long as the scholarship is valid. NEPOMAK will, in turn, inform the Service for Overseas and Repatriated Cypriots.

• It is made clear that the submission of applications and the awarding of scholarships to interested parties are internal procedures of the respective university and are governed by the criteria it has established. The Service for Overseas and Repatriated Cypriots has no role or involvement in the entire process.
