President of the Republic Nicos Anastasiades will hold a series of meetings next week which are deemed especially important for Cyprus’ diplomatic relations and the role it is playing in the Eastern Mediterranean region.
Presidential Commissioner, Photis Photiou had a number of meetings in the House of Commons with the chairman of the Cyprus-UK Friends of Cyprus group Sir Roger Gale and members of the group.
Presidential Commissioner Photis Photiou has reiterated the need for any settlement of the Cyprus issue to be in line with the UN decisions and resolutions, dismissing Turkish “neo-Ottoman” positions about a “two-state solution” as an approach that “undermines” the UN Secretary-General`s efforts.
