Thessaloniki in the French market

The Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) participated once again this year in the tourism fair IFTM Top Resa 2025, held in Paris last week.

The exhibition was attended by GNTO Secretary-General Andreas Fiorentinos, who held a series of meetings and constructive collaborations with representatives of specialized tour operators. He presented the achievements of Greek tourism, new tourism products, and the organization’s priorities for highlighting destinations of major importance, such as Thessaloniki.

Fiorentinos, accompanied by Emy Anagnostopoulou, director of the GNTO France Office, met with senior executives of specialist tour operators NG Travel, Vacances Heliades, Last Minute, and Havas Voyages, as well as the leading online luxury travel agency Voyage Prive. They conducted a preliminary review of this year’s season and of the co-advertising programs being carried out with them in the French market through October 2025.

He also outlined the priorities of the Greek National Tourism Organization’s 2026-2027 strategy and areas of collaboration for the new year, with the goal of strengthening and qualitatively upgrading tourism flows.

In this context, Fiorentinos stressed to his counterparts that a top priority for the GNTO is to establish Thessaloniki in the French market as an ideal long city-break destination.

He secured commitments from all the tour operators for the creation of packages and the addition of charter flights from Paris, Nantes and Lyon to Thessaloniki during the 2026-2027 period.
