Foreign nationals abandon Lebanon with planes and boats to Cyprus

Arrivals to Cyprus of foreign nationals from Lebanon continued on Thursday, as they abandon the country due to the escalating situation in the region. 

Two flights were scheduled to arrive at Larnaca airport today from Beirut, carrying Australian citizens.

Australians will stay overnight at sites selected by the Republic and are expected to depart tomorrow to Australia on chartered flights.

Meanwhile, flights, mainly of Israeli airlines, continued to operate today between Tel Aviv and Larnaca, carrying Israeli citizens who are leaving the country due to the situation in the Middle East region.

CNA has learnt from Hermes Airport that today 12  arrivals were scheduled at Larnaca airport from Tel Aviv and 10 departures to Israel.

Private boats continue arriving daily from Lebanon at the marinas of Larnaca and Ayia Napa, carrying European citizens and diplomatic and administrative staff of Embassies.
