Gus Cherevas Estia-Pindus AHEPA Chapter 326 Presented Scholarships

FLUSHING, NY – The Gus Cherevas Estia-Pindus AHEPA Chapter 326, which has its base at the St. Nicholas Flushing community, presented scholarships in the amount of $1,500 each to three deserving high school seniors at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Shrine Church, on June 27. The scholarship recipients are the following: Marie Lolis, John Douveas, and Eleni Ballas.

The scholarship awards presentation was made by the Scholarship Committee Co-Chairman, Dean Moskos, District 6 Governor, and the scholarships were given out by Chapter President Harry Yanakis, Corresponding Secretary George Kakivelis, and by Frank Pappas.

Following the church service, Chapter 326 hosted a coffee hour at the Sarantakos Hall where church members greeted the scholarship award winners and their proud parents, and also had the opportunity to learn about the AHEPA chapter and consider applying for membership.
