Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has held separate phone calls with the leaders of Israel and Lebanon Thursday following the announcement of the ten-day ceasefire deal between the two countries.

Mitsotakis’ office said that during his conversations with Benjamin Netanyahu and Joseph Aoun, the PM stressed the need for the Lebanese government to acquire full control over the entire expanse of the country.

He also voiced Greece’s readiness to offer assistance wherever that should be necessary, and highlighted the importance of maintaining the ceasefire for regional peace and stability.
