The island of Skopelos, in the northwestern Aegean, was listed first in the top four European destinations for special spring and summer travel experiences for Italians, in the annual list announced by the vice president of the national union of travel bloggers of Italy, after his visit to the island where the iconic film “Mamma Mia!” was shot.

The visit was carried out at the invitation of the Skopelos Municipality. The list was published recently in the popular travel blog Girovagate.com and compiled following on-the-spot research by experienced travel bloggers in Europe.
