Special Olympics team delivers New Year’s carols to PM

Members of Greece’s Special Olympics team visited the Prime Minister’s office, the Maximos Mansion, on Tuesday morning to sing New Year’s carols.

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis exchanged New Year’s wishes with the athletes and their escorts, discussing their achievements and preparations for the upcoming games.

The morning’s proceedings also included traditional music and dance performances by the Panthracian Federation of Southern Greece.

Greece’s 37-member Special Olympics team completed a very successful Paralympics in Paris earlier this year, securing 13 medals – three gold, three silver and seven bronze medals.
