Greece’s minister of development, Takis Theodorikakos, last Thursday inaugurated the “Hellenic Aluminium Exhibition 2025” at the Metropolitan Expo Center in eastern Attica.
He was welcomed by the president of the Hellenic Aluminium Association, Giorgos Mentzelopoulos. In his remarks, Theodorikakos highlighted the key role of aluminium in Greece’s industrial landscape.
“Greek aluminium is one of the most dynamic pillars of Greek industry,” he said, adding that “with exports exceeding 2.6 billion euros, 80,000 direct and indirect employees, and a positive trade balance of around €900 million, it embodies in practice our concept of the new production model.”
Theodorikakos emphasized that aluminium production signifies both competitiveness and innovation. He highlighted that the Greek industry has the knowledge, experience and capability to create high-quality products that are globally recognized. The fair concluded on Sunday.
