Athens Flying Week returns to Tanagra on September 5 and 6 for its 14th edition, bringing aircraft spanning eras of aviation history and several first-time appearances in Greece.

One highlight is the Fursan Al Emarat aerobatic team from the United Arab Emirates, flying seven twin-engine Hongdu L-15 jets, the first Chinese-built aircraft type presented at the event, according to organizers.

The show, launched in 2012 at Tatoi and moved to Tanagra in 2016, drew more than 60,000 spectators last year, while over 150,000 watched online.

This year’s program ranges from the Supermarine Spitfire MJ755 and Cold War-era F-4 Phantom to Rafale, F-16 Viper and Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft. Organizers say Finland’s F-18 Hornet Demo and Spain’s Eurofighter Typhoon will make their Greek debuts. Canadian Skyhawks and French Phenix parachute teams are also scheduled to appear.
