The Greek merchant fleet increased by 0.8% in May, compared with the same month last year, according to provisional data published by the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) on Friday.
It noted that a 0.2% growth had been recorded in May 2024 from May 2023. The gross tonnage of the Greek merchant fleet, for vessels of 100 GRT and over, declined by 3.5% in May from May 2024. A decrease of 3.5% had been recorded in May 2024 against May 2023.
