WASHINGTON –The Orthodox Public Affairs Committee (OPAC) today announced a substantive partnership with International Christian Concern (ICC) to pursue an aggressive program to defend Christians around the world from persecution. This relationship follows months of dialogue and exploration of tactics and strategies to alleviate the suffering of people of faith and shine light on the issues of religious freedom and Christian persecution. 

Commenting on the partnership, ICC Advocacy Associate, Andrew Crane stated, “ICC is excited to partner with OPAC in advocating for the rights of the persecuted Church around the world. We look forward to engaging U.S. policymakers as a united front to educate them on persecution and provide them with the tools to promote international religious freedom.”

Claire Evans, ICC’s Regional Manager added, “we are so encouraged by OPAC and their passion to help persecuted Christians worldwide. There are so many religious freedom challenges for the church throughout the world, but pursuing solutions through ecumenical partnerships and dialogue is key. We are grateful for OPAC’s leadership on this. Together we will work to strengthen our shared commitment towards religious freedom and in providing support for the persecuted Church, whether that be through advocacy or assistance.”

OPAC Chairman, George Gigicos said, “International Christian Concern is a perfect partner for OPAC, and we are honored to collaborate with them. Our goals and objectives are aligned, and we share the same vision.
